Job Summary:
- Surveys will consist of topographic, boundary, subdivision, ALTA, and construction layout among other types of projects.
- Most projects will be located in Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama. Occasional out of town and overnight work will be required.
- After a period of on-the-job training, this position will involve mostly working as a 1-man survey crew with GPS and robotic total station equipment. This position will also involve working as a 2-man survey crew when a 2-man crew is better suited for a particular project.
Job Duties:
- Operate survey instruments such as robotic total stations, data collectors, GPS, and other standard survey equipment to collect field data.
- Perform necessary calculations in the field.
- Create legible and accurate field notes.
- Maintain field survey equipment, vehicles, and supplies.
- Possess talent to act as a positive representative of the company and its core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites for employment include:
- Reliable, self-motivated, industrious individual
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years of Survey Crew Instrument Operator experience
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors on a daily basis
- Ability to safely use sharp tools such as a machete to clear line through wooded properties
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Pass random drug screening
